RCS members joined together in Bath with the Britain- Australia Society on Friday 13th October to remember Arthur Philip’s birthday. The day started with a service at Bathampton Church when children from the local primary school were given the opportunity to ask Sir Roger Carrick an ex High Commissioner of Australia questions about Admiral Philip’s journey and his time in Australia. This was followed by a lunch at the Bath and County Club and a talk by Professor Carl Bridge. The event was well attended with representatives from the High Commissions in London and members from around the West Country. Wreaths were laid in Bathampton Church. The Deputy Mayor of Bath was also present at the service and lunch.
