American Delights

Members of the Bath and District Branch of the Royal Commonwealth Society together with friends met together at the American Museum on September 7th for a buffet lunch and talk from the Director Professor Richard Wendorf. Special guests at the event included the Deputy Chief of Mission at the USA Embassy in London Yael Lempert, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Lucy Nelson and the Mayor of Bath, Councillor Gerry Curran. Also in attendance at the event were the new Rector of Bath Abbey Guy Bridgewater, principal of Norland College, Dr Janet Rose, the Lady Mayoress and staff and Commonwealth students from both Bath universities. After the talk and address from Yael Lempert on the special relationship between the USA, the UK and the Commonwealth guests had the chance to look round the museum and gardens.
