Britain-Australia Society – Admiral Arthur Birthday Commemoration – Monday Oct 11, 2021

The West Country Branch of the Britain -Australia Society will be holding the Annual Admiral Phillip Commemoration Service and lunch this year at St Nicholas Church and Bailbrook House Hotel in Bathampton. Admiral Phillip was the Founder of Modern Australia and led the remarkable journey of the first fleet from Portsmouth to Sydney, and then served as the first Governor of the Colony.

The commemorations will begin with church service at St Nicholas at 10.30 for 11am start, then move to the Bailbrook House Hotel for reception drinks hosted by the Mayor of Bath followed by the lunch and speeches. This year Stephen Bird, as head of Bath Heritage Services, will be our guest speaker discussing Historic Bath, the role of the Bath Heritage Services, and his career as Head of Bath Heritage service since its creation in 2005.

Costs are £39 member or £45 non member.
