

RCS Bath and District members and friends of the Society joined together the public on March 8th at Bath Abbey for a service involving students from all over the Commonwealth who are studying in Bath. These included scholars from Norland College, Kingswood School, the University of Bath and Bath Spa University. Lead by Stephen Girling from the Abbey the service included readings, prayers and the Commonwealth Affirmations. Also present were the Acting Branch President of the branch, the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset Annie Maw and His Worshipful the Mayor of Bath, Gerry Curran. The service was followed by the RCS Bath and District Art Competition Prize Giving at Studio 44AD. The prizes were awarded by Michael Eaves. On Commonwealth Day Godfrey Hall the chair of the branch attended the service at Westminster Abbey together with the branch student co-ordinator from Bath Spa University Gaiven Claremont.
