On the 13th April, Lotte Veale, a trustee of the RCS Bath and District Branch hosted an online experience focusing on food from around the Commonwealth. The event took place via Zoom and featured meals and desserts from students and members in Zambia, Nigeria, Australia, Canada and Singapore! Attendees were lucky enough to see an online cooking demonstration of maple syrup pancakes all the way from Canada and a live broadcast of traditional cuisine from Zambia.
After each participant had finished presenting their chosen dish, people taking part were able to ask questions and recount some of their own experiences of cooking around the Commonwealth. Over 20 branch members from all over the Commonwealth took part in the event.
We look forward to putting together our very own Commonwealth Cook Book in the coming weeks, full of recipes from around the world!
