Richard has lived on Tristan da Cunha, the most isolated island community in the world. A British Overseas Territory with a population of around 250 it is located in the South Atlantic over 1500 miles from its nearest neighbour St Helena. Home to a Royal Commonwealth Society Essay prize winner and a colony of rock hopper penguins. Richard will be providing a unique and fascinating account of life on Tristan da Cuhna.
