The Royal Commonwealth Society, Bath and District Branch (RCS Bath) is collaborating with 44AD artspace, University of Bath, and local primary schools from the BA postcode to produce an exhibition honouring World War II “Heroes of the Commonwealth”.
RCS Bath is delighted to invite you to join us for drinks to celebrate the launch of Heroes of the Commonwealth.
On display will be twelve photographs depicting heroes of the Commonwealth from World War II. Local schools are invited to ‘adopt’ one of these twelve heroes to research, with the aim of creating a collaborative piece of art which represents and celebrates their chosen hero.
This launch event will enable you to find out more information about our project, and to register your schools interest.
Heroes of the Commonwealth will culminate in an art exhibition by participating schools, to be held at 44AD artspace in November 2022, as part of Remembrance Sunday commemorations.
This is also an opportunity to view the current exhibition at 44AD artspace by Millfield School – prizewinners of the RCS Bath Young Artist Prize 2020.
