New Zealand Connections

On a recent visit to New Zealand Godfrey Hall, Chair of the Bath and District Branch, and his wife Sue met together with Darryl Stevens, the RCS regional co-ordinator in Wellington to discuss the various activities taking places in the branches and their relationship with London. Darryl was involved in the organisation of the recent visit by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall to New Zealand. His is President and Hon. Administrator of The Royal Commonwealth Society – Commonwealth Trust in Wellington and the RCS Regional Co-ordinator for the region. He was awarded the Insignia of a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to Youth and the Commonwealth.

Whilst in New Zealand Godfrey and Sue’s trip included visits to a penguin colony, an albatross observatory, the spectacular Milford Sound, a look around the iconic Te Papa Tongarewa, (the Museum of New Zealand) and the 2020 New Year celebrations in Auckland.
