Our Objectives
The objectives of RCS Bath are to spread knowledge about the Commonwealth, and foster respect between its peoples, through:
- Education and Research
- Travel to Commonwealth Countries
- Lectures, Debates, Conferences and Seminars
- Support for Youth Exchanges
Each year we are able to offer a limited number of awards in the region of £250-500. We are particularly interested in supporting projects that promote the values of the Commonwealth and will have real impact on a community. If you are a student at Bath Spa University or the University of Bath, we also support students through annual scholarships. Please contact your university for further details of their deadlines and application process
Application process
If you would like to make an application direct to the society please complete and return the application form to us at least 8 weeks before your project begins. You will need to provide a referee, perhaps your project supervisor, senior teacher or tutor.
Your application will be considered initially by our chair and may then be put forward to a society council meeting for full consideration by trustees. If your application is successful, the chair will contact you in due course. If you have any questions regarding the application please contact the chair.
